McQuade,
Director,
Lagan Consulting
Owen McQuade is a Director of Lagan Consulting, specialising
in (Northern Ireland) public affairs with 20 years experience of corporate
level communications. Owen has considerable expertise in the design
and implementation of corporate communications strategies. He has previous
experience in a number of strategic and communications roles in Ireland
with the Viridian Group and internationally with the Royal Dutch/Shell
Group.
In his Northern Ireland roles he has briefed all the
political parties on numerous occasions. He has also made representations
to all 26 local councils including significant interaction with senior
local government officials. Owen has also led communications campaigns
at Westminster related to Northern Ireland issues. He has appeared before
the Northern Ireland Affairs Committee and has undertaken numerous formal
briefings at Westminster. He has public affairs experience outside Northern
Ireland, including Dáil Éireann (Dublin), Brussels and Washington.
Owen is author of The Governance of Northern Ireland
and was previously an editorial advisor with Financial Times Business.
He is a chartered engineer and has an MBA from Henley. He is a member
of the Northern Ireland Government Affairs Group. There are few individuals
with the same depth of experience in communicating complex messages
to Northern Ireland's political institutions and policy makers.
